5s (him) and 6s (her) are both mental types compared to the other more emotional or the instinctual types, although there are significant differences between the two, they both respect the intellectual acumen of the other and also how each other has a strong intellectual ability and logic as they both respect detail, factual objectivity and accuracy,

areas of expertise may include the ability to analyze situations fairly and objectively without inserting personal opinions or bias that other types which may be influenced by emotions or existing beliefs.

together, 5s and 6s can be highly effective in dealing with problems because both are attuned to danger and how to minimize risk, and both are able to bring their expertise experience and and knowledge to solve problems together

-------------------------------------

Fives - sometimes the intense focus of 5s can lead to insight and remarkable discoveries and innovations, but when they become too fixated, they can create self-defeating problems when they become too inflexible. they may then focus their attention on something to distract them, and ignore their most pressing and practical problems that need immediate attention. Whatever the source of their anxieties may be, the intense focus that 5s can have that can provide insight and reasoning or may lead to them neglecting other needs when they are unable to divert their focus. Some areas that they may need to work on include their relationships with others, lack of physical fitness, issues that have to do with employment etc.

On average Fives tend not to deal with these issues and either procrastinate or delay them indefinitely, they'd rather find other things to occupy them. this is ironic because no matter what degree of mastery they develop in any such area of expertise, these "interests" do not deal with their more immediate and basic insecurities and needs.

in general Sixes desire security and loyalty. They are extremely dedicated to the people close to them, whether it be family, friends, colleagues etc.

By focusing on their basic desire to be seen as useful or that they are valued and recognized for 5s want to be seen as competent and capable. This is why sometimes 5s seem argumentative or stubborn, but from their perspective they are trying to prove themselves as capable and important to others either through their knowledge and/or skills. So 5s may sometimes be reserved with their emotions, preferring to analyze them logically rather than express them openly.
